Research
Software Engineering Professor Suresh Kothari (above) won the Technology Association of Iowa's prestigious 2008 Innovation in Teaching award and his software company EnSoft was named Innovator of the Year.
Innovative research is a top priority of the Department of Computer Science and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Our faculty and graduate students are working towards receiving prestigious awards, publishing their research in high-impact scholarly publications and at conferences, bringing in millions of dollars in research grants, and earning patents for their work. Undergraduate students can participate in research, too, with undergraduate research assistantships.
