Due to the continued popularity of the Software Engineering degree, Iowa State University has hired a third academic adviser for the Software Engineering Program. Janelle Rouse joined the Software Engineering Program on October 12, 2017. She is an ISU alum with her Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology and her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Janelle has been an adviser and student services junky for over 10 years and loves working with students!

Janelle met her husband, David, while attending ISU and have been married for 17 years. They have three daughters, Claire (16), Ella (13), Avery (10) and four fur-babies, Loki and Artemis the cats, Jack and Apollo the dogs. When she is not working she is usually driving one of her kids around or hanging with her fur-babies. Janelle's favorite hobby is eating out and chatting with friends over desserts! Janelle is excited to be back at ISU! Her family is relocating to Ames and will all be squeezing into a condo until they find the "perfect" house! Janelle's family is looking forward to a wonderful adventure here in Ames and ISU!
